Common Questions

How do I get quiz questions?

Quiz for Brains offers two ways to get quizzes: (1) Upload your own questions in our simple text format through the host portal, or (2) Subscribe to our premium quiz servicewhich provides professionally curated weekly quizzes with 8 rounds of 10 questions each. Premium quizzes are automatically generated based on your subscription schedule (weekly, monthly, or annual).

What topics are covered in the quizzes?

Our premium quiz database includes questions organized by themes including: General Knowledge, Sports, Entertainment, History, Science & Nature, Geography, Music, Food & Drink, Art & Literature, and more. Each quiz features a variety of themes to keep your quiz nights balanced and engaging. Questions include multiple choice, true/false, and text answer formats, with optional media (images, audio, video).

What if I have technical issues during a quiz?

Quiz for Brains is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure with 99.9% uptime target. Quiz data is stored securely in Upstash Redis and syncs automatically between your display and host interfaces. If you experience technical issues, your quiz state is preserved and you can refresh to continue. For urgent issues during a live event, contact support@quizforbrains.com with your customer ID and we'll assist as quickly as possible.

Do you provide setup assistance?

Yes! We provide comprehensive email support to help new customers get started. This includes: setting up your account and subscription, uploading your first quiz, understanding the display and host interfaces, configuring teams and scoring, enabling virtual player participation, and troubleshooting any setup issues. We respond to setup questions within 48 hours (business days).

Can you help create custom features for my venue?

We actively develop new features based on customer feedback and usage patterns. While we can't create venue-specific custom solutions, we prioritize features that benefit multiple customers. Recent additions include: virtual player participation with join codes, team saving/loading, quiz preview mode, theme swapping, media support (images/audio/video), and customizable quiz rounds. Share your feature ideas at support@quizforbrains.com and we'll consider them for our roadmap.
